Our DocuWare–Avendoo integration, based on gid Microservices – which has been awarded the ‘Software Made in Germany’ seal of quality – combines audit-proof document management with modern learning management, enabling users to continue working in their familiar Avendoo environment.
The interface combines structured documents and metadata from DocuWare with the functions for course management, seminar organisation and the delivery of learning content in Avendoo. As a result, certificates, training materials, webinar resources and booking information remain consistently available and directly accessible at all times – without having to switch systems and with end-to-end transparency across all relevant information.
At the same time, the integration enables bidirectional processing between DocuWare and Avendoo. Documents, metadata and participant information are automatically synchronised and are available in both systems in a context-relevant manner.
For example, in Avendoo, archived training materials, certificates or participant documents can be accessed directly from DocuWare, whilst files uploaded by participants – such as attendance certificates or supporting documents – are automatically transferred to DocuWare. Incidentally, deduplication is also applied to prevent duplicates from arising in the first place.
This significantly simplifies the administration of training processes, saves time on organisation and reduces licensing and system costs thanks to consolidated data management. At the same time, processes become more transparent, as all relevant documents and information are available centrally and can be integrated into workflows.
This creates a seamless link between operational learning management and audit-proof document management – for more efficient course organisation, clearly structured training processes and sustainably optimised use of information across the entire organisation.

Users can capture training materials, participant documents, certificates and metadata in DocuWare and manage them in an audit-proof manner, whilst Avendoo handles course management, seminar administration and the delivery of digital learning content.
Documents and learning processes are automatically linked, structured and enriched with context-related metadata such as participant status, certification status or course enrolments. This enables training information to be assigned more quickly, evaluated efficiently and reused for reporting, verification and audit processes. Teams work on a consistent data basis without any media discontinuities between the learning platform and document management.
The integration supports bidirectional synchronisation: documents and participant records from DocuWare flow directly into Avendoo courses and learning pathways, whilst content generated by participants – such as uploads, evidence or certificate requests – can be automatically transferred back into DocuWare. This creates a closed information cycle between operational learning management and audit-proof document archiving.
By combining DocuWare’s structured document and process security with Avendoo’s course management, learning journeys and certificate management functions, the result is a seamless integration of efficient training organisation and transparent record-keeping – whilst ensuring a high level of data security and clear lines of responsibility.
